What it shows
Open Journal -> Registration statistics to review new master accounts, successful sign-ins, registration methods, countries and time distributions. Choose all projects in your team or one project.
Filters
| Field | Effect |
|---|---|
| Project | Scopes every metric and chart to the team or one project. |
| Period | A preset or a custom date range. The default is the last 30 days. |
| From (UTC), Through (UTC) | Both dates are included. Only elapsed time is counted for today. |
| Grouping | Automatic, daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. Automatic grouping uses larger intervals for long ranges. |
| Projects per page | 5, 10 or 20 projects in the lower charts. Overall metrics and breakdowns are unaffected. |
The circular-arrow button applies filters and refreshes the report. Reset restores the defaults. Applied filters stay in the page address and are restored when you reopen it.
Metrics
| Metric | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Current players | Master accounts currently present in the selected projects, regardless of the report period. |
| Unfinished registrations | Active requests whose confirmation is not complete. Click to open awaiting registration. |
| Recorded registrations | All available history of successful account creation in the selected projects, regardless of the report period. |
| Registrations in period | New master accounts within the selected dates. |
| Registered today | New master accounts since the start of today in UTC. |
| Successful sign-ins | Successful sign-ins within the selected dates. A player can sign in repeatedly, so this is not a unique-player count. |
Current population and registration history can differ. Deleting an account removes it from the current population but does not erase its registration from history. History reflects available records; an unknown registration date is not invented. Accounts without a known date are counted separately when present.
Period comparison
The report shows registrations for the selected and previous intervals and the percentage change. The previous interval has the same duration and ends when the selected interval begins. Its boundaries appear below the comparison.
If the range includes today, only elapsed time is compared. When the previous interval contains no registrations, No comparison rate appears instead of a misleading percentage. An unavailable previous interval is identified separately.
Charts and breakdowns
Registrations and sign-ins puts new accounts and successful sign-ins on one timeline. Hover over a bar to see its date and count.
Registration methods separates account creation through email and password, a sign-in link and a sign-in code. Signing into an existing account does not add a registration. Unfinished requests are excluded.
Countries uses the country determined at registration. Records that could not be located remain under Country unknown. Later sign-ins do not change the country of an earlier registration.
Time of day and Days of the week distribute registrations in the selected period using UTC. Advertising sources and campaigns are available separately under Acquisition.
By project contains separate registration and sign-in charts. Use Back and Next when there are more projects. Paging changes only the displayed projects; overall metrics and breakdowns stay unchanged. Only projects with activity in the selected period are included.
Long periods
Choose a year, several years or a custom historical range. There is no ten-year limit. Automatic grouping preserves the entire range. If a manually selected grouping is too detailed, the form asks for a coarser one.
Empty results and errors
An explicit message appears when the period has no activity. Current players, active requests and all-time history may still be nonzero.
A loading failure is shown as an error, not zero counts or old charts. Refresh to try again. If history changes while paging, or the page expires, refresh the first page.
