Routing rules
A routing rule decides which enabled method may handle a payment. It binds one payment purpose to one method and can optionally constrain the route by payment asset, payer country, or amount.
Create a rule
Open Payment System -> Routing rules and choose Add routing rule.
- Select the payment purpose and configured payment method.
- Set the priority and weight.
- Optionally enable payment-asset conditions.
- Optionally enable payer-country conditions.
- Optionally define an asset and inclusive amount range.
- Save the rule and enable it after checking overlaps.
Purpose and payment method are immutable. Create another rule for a different pair.
Priority and weight
Applicable rules with a lower priority value are considered first. Weight distributes new operations among otherwise equivalent routes at the same priority. For example, weights 200 and 100 produce an approximate 2:1 distribution when all conditions match.
Use different priorities for primary and reserve routing. Use the same priority to distribute load across several live accounts.
Conditions
Asset and country sets support two operators:
- include makes the rule applicable only to listed values;
- exclude makes the rule applicable to every value except those listed.
To select currencies, enable Limit by payment currency. Search Currencies by name or code, such as “US Dollar” or USD. Check the currencies you need; selected entries appear as labels with their names and codes. Use the cross to remove one currency, or Clear to remove all selections. You can select up to 32 currencies.
For a game currency that is missing from the list, enter its code and select Use code …. Examples include GOLD and GAME_COIN. Codes start with a Latin letter and contain only Latin letters, digits and underscores, up to 32 characters. Letters are converted to uppercase automatically.
When the limit is off, the payment currency does not affect the rule. Turning it back on keeps the currencies selected in the form.
To select countries, enable Limit by payer country. Open Countries and search by name or code, such as “Germany” or DE. Check the countries you need; selected entries appear as individual labels. Use the cross beside a name to remove one country, or Clear to remove all selections. A rule can contain up to 64 countries.
The including mode applies the rule to the selected countries; excluding leaves those countries out. When the limit is off, the payer’s country does not affect the rule. Turning it back on keeps the countries selected in the form.
An amount condition uses one selected currency and inclusive bounds. Enable Limit by payment amount, search for the currency and set its decimal places. You may define only a minimum, only a maximum, or both. Selecting another currency does not change the decimal places or entered amounts automatically; review them before saving.
Verify a route
Test the primary asset and both boundary amounts. Also test an excluded country, a disabled method, and an unavailable server. Checkout must show only methods whose server scope, route, and pricing policy all apply.
Change note
Use the Note panel to explain what you are changing and why. You can format text, add lists and insert links. The note is optional and is saved with the current changes when you select Save. You do not need to enter a separate reason code.
