Installing MMO-DEV WEB
The installer validates the environment, creates the local data schema, connects the project to the API, and imports required product data. Run it once for each website.
Before you begin
Prepare:
- a domain with HTTPS;
- PHP 8.2 or newer with the extensions listed by the installer;
- an empty MySQL 8.4 database and a dedicated database user;
- a one-time enrollment code from the MMO-DEV WEB project card;
- the API and update server URLs shown in the project information.
Website files must belong to the application user. The src/ and internal_data/ directories must be writable by that user during installation. Do not use 777 permissions.
Open the installer
After extracting the release, open:
https://your-domain.example/install/
The RU / EN control changes the installer language without resetting the current step. Resolve every environment error before continuing.
1. Database
Enter the host, port, database name, username, and password. Select Test connection. The continue action becomes available only after a successful test.
Grant the database user permission to create and modify tables, indexes, and data only in the dedicated database. Do not use root in production.
2. Project connection
Keep the default API URL unless you operate custom infrastructure. Open the project card in MMO-DEV WEB, generate a one-time enrollment code, and enter it in the installer. The code expires and cannot be reused after successful enrollment.
3. Product data
After configuration is verified, the installer:
- creates local tables;
- imports master templates and system phrases;
- installs the
ru,en,es,pt,ko,cn, andgrlanguage packs; - builds local caches;
- verifies that the required home page template exists.
Keep the browser tab open until background jobs finish. Select the remove-existing-data option only for a clean installation.
4. Administrator
Create a unique login and a long password. The local admin manages templates and technical data for this website. Team, billing, and project management remain in the main MMO-DEV WEB panel.
5. Completion
Open the website and sign-in page, verify the default language, and check static assets. The installer creates internal_data/install-lock.php, which blocks another browser installation.
Sign in after installation
After the install lock is created, opening /install/ displays the administrator sign-in form. Language and theme choices persist, and the header provides an explicit dark theme control.
Do not remove the install lock from a live website. Use the built-in upgrade workflow instead of reinstalling the product.
Post-installation checklist
- the home page opens outside maintenance mode;
/sign-indisplays the authentication form and project logo;- every installed language is available in settings;
- project, API, and database connection checks pass;
- background jobs and cache rebuilds complete without errors.
Continue with connection checks, then upload the initial settings.
