API keys

API keys allow external applications to perform selected actions in a specific project. Create a separate key for each integration and grant only the permissions it needs.

Key list​

Open Settings -> API keys. You can create a key, disable it without deleting it, or open it for editing.

Create a key​

  1. Click Create key.
  2. Enter a clear integration name.
  3. Generate the public and secret keys.
  4. Select only the required permissions.
  5. Select a project, enable the key, and save.

Edit a key​

Click the key name in the list. The populated form lets you change its name, permissions, project, and status. Generating a new public or secret value replaces that part of the key, so update the connected application after saving.

Share the secret only with the application for which it was created. If the key is no longer used or may have been exposed, disable it and create a new one. Request formats and examples are available in the API documentation.
